Fastled sound reactive
FastLED + Microphone = Sound reactive lightbar. I'v an arduino mini, a MAX4466 amp'd microphone and 2 stips with 33 WS2812B LEDs each. The strips are connected to Pins 10 and 11 and the mic is on A0. I want both strips to react like Vu meters when music is played. Only one color, no fancy RGB rainbow coloring.

Continuing off of my post from last week creating a WiFi Connected RGB LED Strip, I'm adding a new effect: music visualization. The goals of the project are: LED strip syncs to the music playing. The audio comes in from a headphone jack. LED strip should still be able to support a solid color and other visualizations.

Ambilight is a technology by Philips that uses LEDs mounted on the back of their TVs to add ambient light. David retrofitted his TV using a total of 100 addressable LEDs. The project uses a Teensy 3.2 and takes advantage of the FastLED library. Check out the Instructables page for details on how you can build your own. Add the device using the following configuration based on your firmware: Add the device as a E1.31 device. The default E1.31 settings should work fine. Click 'Additional Properties' and check 'Include Indexes'. If you have more than 170 LEDs click 'Additional Properties' and set the 'Universe Size' to 510.
